“People are always talking about creatures from other places, extraterrestrial creatures invading our planet. What we need is to have creatures from other worlds born down here, but their citizenship is in heaven. All their thoughts are in heaven. Their hopes are there, their power is there. When they were born again, they became creatures from another world. It is this we need, and this will do more than all our other attempts to explain through psychology what happens when a man is converted. If you can explain it, he has not been converted. Christianity is a perpetual miracle. It is a miracle that perpetuates itself, a continuous wonder and mystery. Yet we walk sanely in the midst of it with our feet on the ground.”
